Heritage and Knowledge

Heritage, a gift from the older generations. We have given importance to our culture and tradition from the very beginning and have beautifully preserved it for our future generations. Knowledge is being developed by education and experience. Traditional knowledge refers to knowledge systems embedded in the culture of traditions regional, indigenous, or local communities.

Traditional knowledge typically distinguishes one community from another. Traditional knowledge can be acquired through local education systems based on the community. These are simply called as ‘socially constructed knowledge’. Through this education system, our heritage is preserved and passed on to the upcoming generations. Since we are living with our culture and day by day growing our traditional arts.

India comprises both natural and man-made heritage sites. Some of the most beautiful heritage sites are from our country. Their beauty is appreciated all over the world. However, many of these are getting worse with time. Along with natural calamities, human negligence is contributing to the decline of these beautiful heritage sites.

Many of these are losing their chance and can be reduced in the coming time if we do not try to preserve them. These are the reflections of our historical and cultural past and we should not lose them. Apart from this, these sites also contribute to the economy of the country as they attract tourists around the world. To protect these heritage sites, the government has to take stringent measures. We should contribute to whatever is possible in this direction.

Conclusion

India is a culturally rich country. People of different religions, castes, and ethnic groups live in our country with their vibrates and diversity. In our country, each ethnic group has its own original story and its own group of unique traditions and cultures. It is the duty of the elders to call for love for Indian heritage in the younger generation. It should be done from the beginning only if we can preserve our rich heritage.
